World Party Day is coming up on April 3 and I've teamed up with Big Things to help usher in a day that celebrates global unity. And what could be better than celebrating with breakfast! I've always loved the idea of throwing a breakfast party; inviting a few friends over on a Saturday morning for waffles or pancakes. People showing up in their sweats and pj's- there's something so cozy about it. I plan on doing this a lot this coming winter. See more great world party day posts from other bloggers right here.

Have you seen these beautiful pictures from Kinfolks first dinner in Portland? Next up is Brooklyn and man would I love to go. Pictures taken by Laura of D'Art Photography. Go here to see more.

This past weekend I was a bridesmaid in one of my best friends wedding. Andrew even officiated the ceremony (that's him top left). It was drizzly and overcast but super cozy and we had a great time. So I thought I'd share some of the cute details from the wedding... after the ceremony Shelley put on a vintage fur coat from the 70's over her dress which was pretty amazing. I also had the pleasure of making her bouquet- wildflowers and daisy's and another favorite touch was the canoe filled with drinks for all the guests. It was one of the sweetest weddings I've ever been to. Congratulations Shelley and Patrick! We love you guys!

Recently my mom and I hosted a bridesmaids brunch for one of my best friends who just got married. My mom handled all the food and I did the set up. Here's a peek at what we did.

I saw this card on Pinterest and immediately knew I wanted to duplicate it for the brunch. My friend and her now husband have a really cute story so it worked perfectly. From there everything else fell into place.

Loveeeee this wedding photographed by Laura of D'Art Photograhie. It has me wanting to get married all over again.

In case you missed it on {frolic!}, here are a few more pictures from the wedding that haven't been shared. (Oh yeah, and remember my mood board for this wedding... I think we got pretty close).

I'm pretty psyched about this vintage bike auction I'm going to tonight at {field office}. What could be better than music, bikes, coffee, drinks that are not coffee (none for me and the babe of course) and friends? If you live in Cape Town make sure to stop by, and put on your dancing shoes before you leave the house too. Two, yes two DJ's will be playing after the auction is over. See you thereeeeee!
So I thought I'd share some pictures from the Kitchen Tea (Bridal Shower) that I threw for my friend Jess just before she got married. Jess loves nature so I decided to go with a picnic theme and have it in Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens. My friend Jen co-hosted with me and we spread out picnic blankets for the guests. On each blanket was a basket filled with fresh bread, hummus, fruit and cous cous salad. Iced tea and brownies were also served. I decorated an old wheelbarrow and used that to hold all of the presents (unfortunately I didn't get a good picture of it). And my friend Amy greeted each guest at the entrance with some starched flags and led them to the picnic site. It was a beautiful day. Hope to share some of her wedding pictures soon!

My friend Jess sent me the link to this wedding when she received a kind email from the bride who had seen Jess' portfolio on size too small. Turns out they've got a lot in common. It also turns out Lily had one of the sweetest weddings I've seen in a long time. Take a look.

The Most Fashionable Bike Ride Ever?

Check out these pictures from the BKc Tweed Ride a few Sunday's ago in New York City. I think the only requirement was to wear tweed- clearly everyone went all out. The ride started in Prospect Park and ended with a full English breakfast at Flatbush Farm. Amazing. (oh yeah- and over 150 people participated!)

Here's what I love about weddings- I love that if it's done well the personality of the bride and groom come through. That's definitely what happened with Ray and Phil. To see more of this lovely affair go here!
