I've saved the best for last and yes I'm biased since Selah is Andrew's shop and I designed and styled it. It's been a labor of love but here it is in real life- open for business! Remember my mood board? I think we got pretty close to the original vision. Andrew wanted a space that doubled as his studio and a shop where he could sell his artwork, journals, books, pens, and all things that inspire him. I was really concerned that we got the balance between studio and retail right- it couldn't be too much of one or the other and I think it turned out beautifully. If you live in Cape Town please stop by and say hi- Wills and I work the shop for him from time to time! I hope you've enjoyed this series on The Woodstock Foundry. You can find us at 160 Albert Rd. In Woodstock- Cape Town.
I'm back with the final two shops from the Woodstock Foundry this week! Today we're taking a look at Dear Rae Jewelry. It's such a treat to have Karin's shop at the Foundry- it's lovely, full of light and every time I go in I find something I want to buy (those brass bangles are next on my list). Karin's shop also doubles as her studio- so you get to see her hard at work making the beautiful things on the shelves. It's such a great concept. She sells all over Cape Town but her shop is not to be missed so make sure to stop by!

Love thisseries called Living Things by Little Otsu Press. "The Little Otsu Living Things Series is a new collection of mini art books in which different artists each explore one idea based around the theme of living things."
Next up is the amazing hair cuttery, The Lobby. Craig Johns, hairstylist and owner, hit the nail on the head with the look and feel. It's one of those places that you walk in and instantly feel cooler just for being there. Besides his clear talent for design, Craig is also a genius with a pair of scissors, so if you're in need of a trim- you know where to head.
Have you seen these beautiful pictures from Kinfolks first dinner in Portland? Next up is Brooklyn and man would I love to go. Pictures taken by Laura of D'Art Photography. Go here to see more.
I'm excited to share one of the projects I've been working on with gather. The Woodstock Foundry is an amazing new space that has just opened up here in Cape Town. An old historical building that has been renovated, it houses a mix of creative studio spaces as well as retail spaces and a restaurant. Among other things, we were responsible for curating all of the spaces- finding the right mix of tenants.
This week I'm going to share with you the retail tenants. First up is O.live. O.live is by far my favorite store in Cape Town and man was I psyched when they came on board. Take a look below at their beautiful shop at the Foundry.
Remember Palomarie? Well they've just come out with their S/S 2012 Collection and I am in love! Take a look at their beautiful lookbook below and find their shop here. I'm definitely planning on making one or two of these pieces mine.
Andrew turned me on to Couverture and The Garbstore. I love a good online store and they've got everything from homeware to stuff for the boys, girls and kids too. Here are some of my favorites. Also check out their blog to see their guest selection series featuring Elise from Pennyweight, Rachel Comey, Victoria from SF Girl by Bay and others.
Welcome to size too small. A blog about all the pretty things that catch my eye; everything from art and design, to fashion, fun finds and photography.
