Hooray for Friday- it should be a good weekend. We're going to lay around the beach and cheer on my brother in law as he runs a half marathon Sunday morning! Hope your weekend is lovely.
The other day I got the happiest email. Inside was this beautiful hand drawn engagement announcement from my friends Jess and Caleb. They just got engaged! The lovely and talented Jess made it herself. I'm super excited for this wedding in December! Congratulations Jess and Caleb!
Have you tried jeggings yet? I just got a pair a few weeks ago and I love them! They are super comfortable but a little dressier than regular leggings which is nice because you actually look better with less effort. This pair from Madewell look cute. Love her shoes too.
Diana from Miss Moss asked me to participate in her blogger "What I like right now" series and today my post is up. If you don't know Miss Moss you should. Diana runs one of my favorite blogs around, so head over there to see my full list with descriptions!
Aren't these images beautiful? I've always had a romantic notion about what it would be like to hop a train and ride. What a beautiful way to see your country.
Amelia Earhart was a bit of a tomboy, always flying, always racing and always working on planes. She was pictured a lot wearing pants and jackets and generally clothing that would let her move around easily, but they always seemed to be beautifully tailored and perfectly in touch with what was at the height of fashion at the time. Charlotte Ronson's Fall 2010 Ready to Wear line seems to fit the bill perfectly. If you have a suggestion about who you'd like to see next, let me know and if you missed Frida Kahlo, Georgia Okeefe, Marie Curie or Emily Dickinson go here!
When I was in New York a few weeks ago I was really inspired by the street fashion. I've always loved fashion but sometimes I can be a little lazy when getting dressed so I was in need of some inspiration. But while I was inspired by what I saw, it wasn't anything that hasn't been around and that I hadn't seen before. So now I'm left wondering, what's next?
Could it possibly be the end of August already? After three days of clouds and rain, it's finally sunny outside. So for me, I'm headed to the beach! Happy Friday lovers.
Have you seen the pictures from the wedding of Artemis (of Tales of Junkaholic) and Naos? Everything was handmade by the couple from the decorations to their rings to the wedding invitations. It was also held in an orchard and couldn't have been a more lovely setting. Also take a look at the tent the couple got to stay in on the property over the wedding weekend- so fun. To see more pictures from their beautiful wedding go here.
Sweet gift tags and cards from Bella Card Company. Check out Alicia's Etsy shop here! I also couldn't help but fawn over this dress she had "favorited".
I've been wanting to do a post on crochet pieces in fashion but never got my act together enough to do it. Lucky for me, Refinery 29 did. I love all of these pieces. Go here to see the full post.
Loving cigarette pants for Fall/Spring (depending on where you are). High rise, low rise, corduroy, jean- it doesn't matter; they are amazing. These all happen to be from Urban Outfitters.
Make Do and Send has a really cute series called Pocket Money Picks. And recently these tags from benign objects were included. I thought they were too cute not to share.
I Make You Wear It is a fun, new project with a big heart. Rachel Burke is hoping to raise $25,000 for NAPCAN, an organization committed to preventing child abuse, through fashion. Every Saturday night from now until January first she will make one dress and then post it on I Make You Wear It. The goal is to raise awareness for NAPCAN through these dresses and get people to donate. To see her amazing creations go here.
Welcome to size too small. A blog about all the pretty things that catch my eye; everything from art and design, to fashion, fun finds and photography.
